Well, Auburn Tiger fans here we go this should be a high scoring game. The over/under is 73 points. That means both offenses love to light up the scoreboard. With Auburn's 37th bowl attendance will this be their 21st win? Auburn has the all the tools to get the job done. Here are some of the key players that have a real chance to make a difference in the game.

1. Head Coach Gene Chizik: Led his team to a 12-0 record with a point differential of 555-318. Using a spread running offense he turned them loose to keep the fans excited as he pulled in the wins. The wins brought accolads and awards here is a couple so far this year.

2. AP SEC Coach of the year
2. Running Back Cam Newton: Run and gun quarterback that has the legs and arm that can put any play towards the endzone. His playmaking ability has Fran Tarkenton, Randall Cunningham and Vince Young all over it. The system and offense is a perfect fit for his talented dynamic ability. We have seen highlight reels all year of his college greatness. His peers have noticed and awards aplenty for the junior quarterback.
1. 2010 Heisman Trophy
2. AP Player of the Year
3. Walter Camp Player of the Year
4. Sporting News Player of the Year
5. Maxwell Award
6. O'Brien Award
3. Left Tackle Lee Zimba: Making the offensive holes or keeping the defense at bay is this 6'8" 319 tackle. All year long this beast has gotten it done. He was also honored for the great job.
1. Jacobs Blocky Trophy
4. Defensive Tackle Nick Fairley: Leads the defense with 10.5 sacks and 55 tackles with 31 of them solo. He will be all over Darron Thomas and the offense of the Oregon Ducks. Offenses fear him and the voters love him.
1. Lombardi Award
2. AP SEC Defensive Player of the year
5. Middle Linebacker Josh Bynes: If you are coming up the middle or trying to throw over it you will need to get past this guy. He led the team in tackles 71 and interceptions 3 and ready to help the Tigers take home the BCS trophy.

2011 NFL Playoffs: Green Bay Packers Defeat Philadelphia Eagles

Packers pulled it out!

What a wild card game! The thrill of Aaron Rodgers throwing 3 touchdown passes to Brandon Jackson, James Jones and rookie Tom Crabtree and they were three of nine recievers thrown to and was just a start to the excitement. After a two fumble first quater we wondered if the playoff jitters were going to get to Rodgers. But, today turned out to be his day! We also saw game ball winner James Starks rush for 123 yards a Green Bay Packers playoff rushing record. The Packers defense was ready for Michael Vick and had him back pedaling all night. He did throw one touchdown pass to Jason Avant and Vick rushed for another. The receivers were dropping balls all over the field leaving points on the turf. There were more points left by the Ray Finkle Award winner David Akers missing two much needed field goals that were the difference in the loss. Then came the interception with 33 seconds on the clock Michael Vick throws it up in the endzone and Tramon Williams came down with the ball to put the end to the Eagles season.

Aaron Rodgers played his game and looks healthy for the rest of the playoffs!

2011 NFL Playoffs: Baltimore Ravens Defeat Kansas City Chiefs

Ravens Win!

It was win or go home and the Baltimore Ravens proved they were up for the challenge and defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 30 - 7 in a sloppy, turnover riddled game. The game plan from both teams seemed to be get the turnovers and good field postition to score on the big play! Matt Cassell threw three interceptions to Haruki Nakamura, Dawan Landry and Josh Wilson, while Joe Flacco coughed up the ball twice and showed that the quarterbacks could not get there game on track. The quarterbacks weren't the only ones with the butterfingers. Raven's Haruki Nakamura and Chief's Jamaal Charles and Dexter McCluster had fumbling of their own. Jamaal did have some bright spots in his 15 yards passing and 82 yards rushing with the lone touchdown for the Chiefs. Game ball goes to Raven's Todd Heap for his role in getting the Raven's playoff record 10 reception 108 yard performance. Willis McGahee, Anquin Boldin and Ray Rice all also found the endzone. The Chiefs mistakes on offense had the defense of the Raven's licking there chops late. Down the stretch, two sacks, one by Ray Lewis  just wrapping up Cassell, and an interception by Josh Wison sealed the deal.

2011 NFL Playoffs: New York Jets Defeat Indianapolis Colts

Jets Win the Jets Win!!!

The New York Jets stymied the offense of Peyton Manning. We should give the game ball to Rex Ryan and the way he handled the defense to stop the Indianapolis Colts in their playoff run. The game started out slow with a zero to zero tie going into the 2nd quarter, just what Rex wanted a defensive football game. I guess he knew the inconsistancy of his quarterback Mark Sanchez and his 189 yard, 1 interception and a passer rating of 62.5 wasn't going to do it all! His best reciever Braylon Edwards only amassed 62 yards receiving. Who did it all was the resurgance of  Ladainian Tomlinson and his 2 touchdown runs. Nick Folk avoided the Ray Finkle Award and put it between the uprights for the win!
I wonder if Mike Greenberg is happy?

2011 NFL Playoffs: Seattle Seahawks Defeat New Orleans Saints

Seattle Seahawks Win!!!

Matt Hasselbeck and the Seattle Seahawks pulled the first major upset in the 2011 NFL Playoffs by taking down the reigning champion New Orleans Saints. Matt threw four touchdown passes his career playoff high.

The passes were to three different recievers Brandon Stokley, Mike Williams, and two by John Carlson. The running game is what stole the show by clinching the win by an amazing, stiff arming, missed tackling 67 yard run by Marshawn Lynch and a total of 131 yards rushing! A sweet victory for the trio of Matt Hasselbeck, a man trying keep his career going, Mike Williams, the comeback story of the year in the NFL, and Marshawn Lynch coming over from the Buffalo Bills in a trade made it happen in Seattle.

Another Seahawk that is jumping for joy is first year head coach Pete Carroll trying to get a BCS College National Championship ring and a Super Bowl ring!

Their next team to try and beat will be the offensive juggernaut Atlanta Falcons.

The Saints Drew Brees does what he does and thats throw trying to pull it out. He threw for a playoff record 404 total yards and two touchdowns. What hurt the New Orleans Saints was the running game. Reggie Bush a total of 12 yards rushing and the total for the team was only 77 yards from scrimmage. A tough loss for a team trying to repeat.

Superbowl XLV is coming to North Texas and Texas Stadium. With all the craziness around the big game, the tailgate parties, the betting and the commercials we must put the teams first. So I am going to attempt to bring some insight to all the playoff teams heading into the road to the Superbowl XVL.

AFC:

1. New England Patriots
1. Quarterback Tom Brady must keep his stellar MVP like performance going to have a clear shot.
2. The two rookie tight ends Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski will play a key roll.
2. Pittsburg Steelers
1. Big Ben Roethlisberger needs to stay healthy to take them back, as he has done it before!
2. The heart of the team is the Steeler defense and they hope to come up big!
3. Indianapolis Colts
1. Not his best year, but never count out the arm of Peyton Manning.
2. On the other side of the ball, Dwight Freeney will be coming hard and fast at the opposing quarterback.
4. Kansas City Chiefs
1. The key to this team is Matt Cassel and his ability to find a reciever.
2. Will Dwayne Bowe play? And will he be effective?
5. Baltimore Ravens
1. The target for defenses will be the strong-armed Joe Flacco can he stay upright?
2. Helping Joe will be the all purpose back Ray Rice.
6. New York Jets
1. Is the year this year for Mark Sanchez? Can he led them to the promise land?
2. Will the tandem backs Shonn Greene and Ladanian Tomlinson get it done?

NFC:

1. Atlanta Falcons
1. Quaterback Matt Ryan is armed and ready to make it happen this year!
2. Taking the out pattern like no other will be Roddy White.
2. Chicago Bears
1. Keeping the great offenses off the field will be a tough Bears defense.
2. The ultimate TD threat that comes from Bear country is Devin Hester.
3. Philadelphia Eagles
1. "Number 7", "The Comeback", "MVP Candidate" Michael Vick will be looking to entertain the crowds with his versatile playmaking.
4. Seattle Seahawks
1. Will Pete Carroll get college National Championship and a Super Bowl Trophy?
2. There will be pressure on Matt Hasselbeck to take the worst rated team going into the playoffs to wearing the ring!
5. New Orleans Saints
1. 2010 Superbowl MVP Drew Brees will be looking to REPEAT!
2. The running corps are down so will Reggie Bush be able to carry the load?
6. Green Bay Packers
1. Overcoming adversity was the season for the Packers, but Aaron Rodgers is primed for the playoffs.
