2010-2011 Divisional NFC Playoffs Chicago Bears vs Seattle Seahawks

2010-2011 Divisional NFC Playoffs

vs
Jan 16th Sunday 1:00 PM ET

Let's start with the wild card winner Seattle Seahawks taking down the defending champs New Orleans Saints. In that game the offense had a career game from quarterback Matt Hasselbeck , the best touchdown run in wild card playoff history executed by recently acquired Marshawn Lynch, and the resurrgance of the return to the NFL wide receiver Mike Williams. Any given sunday right? Well, it's a new sunday and this trio will have to put that magic back on the field another week. They hold the key to victory!

On the other side of the ball, the Chicago Bears have rested and are ready to feast on the Seahawks. Quarterback Jay Culter will be in pocket and hopefully will stay on his feet and looking to pick apart the Seattle defense. Will Matt Forte be running straight down hill all over the defense. He is a great all purpose back and he should have a big game! Devin Hester and the rest of the receiving core will benefit for the running ability of Forte and find plenty of open field to exploit. Hester will be a true threat as a receiver and if the Seahawks try it kicking to him also in the special teams. The threat of breaking one always puts the coaches in tough choices.

Seattle comes into the game with a not so stellar defense. The team gave up 25 points a game in the regular season. In this game, Chris Clemons will have to carry the load for the defense along with Raheem Brock and get to Cutler to force turnovers and keep the ball in the ofenses hands. The status of Lofa Tatupu is unclear after he sustained a concussion the jury is still out but projected to play. If he doesn't play the defense will struggle and make it a long day for the offense.

The Chicago Bears have a dominate defense that will want to take away the dreams of the 7-9 Seattle Seahawks. The bears shouldn't take them lightly in their last meeting the bears lost by 3 points 17-20. They will have to stop the big play! The base of their defense is the veteren Brian Urlacher and his skill set and ability to read the offense and have a change of plan on the fly and get to the quarterback is all pro caliber. Newly aquired Julius Peppers will need to flank Urlacher and make Hasselbeck's day miserable! Chris Tillman will man the secondary and will attempt to be a shut down corner. A few sacks, forced fumble and an interception and the offense will be proud!

The coaches have there work cut out for them Bears head coach Lovie Smith will have to keep the Bears from being to confident in there record. He'll keep reminding them of there previous game this year to humble them and keep the fight in them! The Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is most likely on cloud nine. His first year head coaching in the NFL and in the playoffs. We'll see how much the coach has learned in his first year and how much preparation he'll need in the NFL for this game!

Good Luck to Both Teams!
